Step 1

Preparation

1. Check that the barrel is standing securely, that the exhaust pipe is firmly in place, that all seals and brackets are in place and that the oven is empty and dry!

2. Remove the tarpaulin and mount the entry steps in the desired location.

3. Connect a garden hose to the click valve.

4. Fill the hot tub with fresh water.

5. Wait until the barrel is filled at least up to the upper furnace connection opening, then the double wall of the furnace is flooded with water. Only now is the furnace ready to be fired.

6. Release all remaining air using the air release valve on the oven.

step 2

Heating up

1. Put thinly chopped wood and, if necessary, some paper into the combustion chamber.

2. Attention! Before lighting the fire, check the water level and the tightness of the exhaust pipe. The stove must never be heated without being completely surrounded by water.

3. Light the fire using a barbecue lighter. Be careful, do not use liquid lighting aids!

4. Only heat the firewater stove with natural and dry wood. Coal is not permitted and is not functional.

5. Make a nice fire, adding small logs regularly.

6. You can regulate the air supply by turning the oven door.

7. Cover the barrel with the tarpaulin, this will reduce the heating time.

8. It is best to mix the different warm water layers approximately every 15 minutes with our paddle (see accessories).

9. Keep the oven burning until the water has reached approximately the temperature you want. Remember that the embers in the oven continue to heat up. Depending on the wood and the heating technique, heating will take between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.

cleaning

1. Wait until there are no more embers in the oven.

2. Only now can you let the water drain away so that the oven does not suffer any damage (e.g. warping due to heat).

3. Remove the exhaust pipe and other accessories (neck supports, cup holders, etc.), remove the ash from the oven using an ash shovel, clean the barrel with water, and use a disinfectant if necessary.

4. Let the barrel dry thoroughly so that no bacteria or fungi can settle in the wood.

5. Place the tarpaulin on the clean and dry barrel and secure it with the elastic bands.

General information

1. For the firewater hot tub with wood and the outdoor oven, you need a horizontal, stable location. It must support at least two tons. A base made of stone, exposed aggregate concrete slabs or similar is very convenient. We recommend a substructure measuring 3.10 x 2.6 m.

2. Remember that the outdoor stove should have enough space next to the barrel so that you can easily light it. It is also important that it is well away from buildings or trees.

3. You can easily assemble the outdoor oven with the help of our detailed operating instructions provided.

4. The barrel drain is not in the middle but on the side of the barrel bottom and is therefore easily accessible.
