How much and which wood do I need for one bath in the outdoor bathtub?
In principle, any type of wood and branches can be used for the outdoor bathtub. We recommend wood that gives off heat quickly (e.g. spruce wood). For heating, it is convenient if the logs are approx. 25-30 cm long. The thinner the logs are, the faster the water heats up. We recommend a log diameter of approx. 3-5 cm.
The outdoor bathtub is supplied on a wooden pallet, which you can also chop up and use for heating.
How much wood you need depends on the following factors: water temperature, air temperature and wood calorific value. To heat up once, you need about as much wood as there is room for in a 30x30x50 cm box. With one cubic meter of wood you can heat up about 20 times.
On which surface can I place the outdoor bathtub?
The location for the outdoor bathtub must be horizontal and capable of bearing a load of at least 600 kg. Stable surfaces such as stone or exposed aggregate concrete slabs are well suited.
How does heating work?
The fire heats the bath water surrounding the heater. There are four heat exchangers that feed the water through the stove of the outdoor bathtub, enhancing the effect.
What happens to the water after bathing?
We recommend changing the bath water – as with bathing in the bathtub – after each bath. Feuerwasser has deliberately decided against using water treatment systems that require chlorine and electricity. The wastewater can be used very well for watering and watering in the garden.
How does the cleaning of firewater products work?
The Feuerwasser products are easy to maintain: clean the inner tub with soapy water (with a soft cloth or sponge, please do not use scratching sponges, steel wool or aggressive abrasives), empty the ashes from the stove regularly and glaze the wood as needed.
Depending on the humidity and sunlight, the wood will change, so some screws may become loose, you can easily tighten them yourself.
